I'm delighted to be presenting a special concert on Sunday May 18th, 4PM, of my project, "Jazz, She Wrote". We'll be playing gems by women composers, from classics by Lil Hardin Armstrong and Melba Liston, swinging jazz by Marian McPartland and Blossom Dearie, to contemporary tunes by Carla Bley, Joanne Brackeen, Renee Rosnes, and more!

I'll be in the fantastic company of saxophonist/flutist Mary Fettig, bassist Ruth Davies, and drummer Kelly Fasman. These three musicians are all first-call players who have toured and recorded with the greats (including some of the composers whose work we'll be featuring!) We've played together quite a bit, and there's always lots of exciting musical interaction.

The concert, presented by Calliope East Bay Music & Arts, will be held at St. Albans Church, 1501 Washington Avenue, Albany, CA- an intimate, lovely venue with gorgeous acoustics (and easy street parking.)  

Can't attend in person? You can live stream from anywhere, during the concert or later on at your leisure!
